This policy covers refunds and cancellations for escrow-funded projects, subscriptions and featured job listings on GlobalSpatialWork, in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 where applicable.
Before work starts: a client may cancel for a 100% refund of unreleased escrow funds.
After work starts: the freelancer is paid for verified completed work (approved milestones remain paid) and remaining unreleased funds are refunded to the client.
Released milestones: once a milestone is approved and released, it is non-refundable except where a dispute decision or appeal directs otherwise.
Disputes: where the parties disagree, either may open a dispute. Refunds then follow the administrator's decision (and the outcome of any appeal filed within the appeal window).
The Platform supports structured cancellation flows for both clients and freelancers (e.g., client cancels before/after work starts, freelancer withdraws or abandons). Each scenario applies automatic per-milestone refund/release rules that are shown to you before you confirm the cancellation.
Fees charged by payment processors (Razorpay, PayPal, Stripe) are non-refundable. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically settle within 5–10 business days depending on the processor and your bank.
Subscription tiers (Bronze/Silver/Gold) are billed for 30-day periods. You may cancel any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Amounts already charged are non-refundable except where required by law or in the event of a verified billing error.
The featured job fee is a one-time promotional charge for a fixed duration. It is non-refundable once the listing has been featured, except in the event of a verified billing error or failure of the feature to activate.
Use the dispute/cancellation tools on the project page, or contact our Grievance Officer (see Grievance Officer page) with your order/transaction reference. We acknowledge requests within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
